In Eugene Ionesco's famous play "Rhinoceros," the lowly “dead cats column” in the local newspaper is first to mention appearances of fascists. This lowly blog is more than a screed against U.S. policy towards the developing nations and the Arab world. It is a warning as to what America is becoming. If decent Americans, and the rest of the world, wait too long, there will be another rampaging crash of Rhinoceros routinely trampling the innocents of the world.

Pambazuka - Zimbabwe elections: What if there had been no rigging?
Political pundits commenting on Zimbabwe's 2013 election seemingly ignore the context in which the voters went to the poll and the shortfalls exhibited by the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) led by Morgan Tsvangirai, which opposes 89 year old President Robert Mugabeand his ZANU-PF party.
U.S. foreign policy wonks simply pick a side and say "Our guy is good and the other guy is bad;" and don't do any further analysis than that. This has been the unsuccessful modus operandi of our foreign policy leaders since before the days of the Vietnam war.
